Request Rewriting

Request Rewriting lets you modify request parameters, response content, or even redirects, so you can quickly validate “what happens if this changes?”.

Common uses

• Modify request parameters to test edge cases
• Replace response content to verify frontend rendering
• Simulate an API error or a slow response

Steps

1. Open Rewrite Settings.
2. Create a rule with matching conditions and replacement content.
3. Save the rule, then return to the capture list to inspect the result.

Recommendations

• Start with simple fields and add complexity gradually.
• Back up the original content before rewriting a response.
